Adlib is a daily speaking coach. To score a take it has to hear it. This page says exactly what we collect, why, who touches it, how long we keep it, and how to make it go away.
What we collect
- Beta waitlist. If you sign up for the beta on this site, we collect your name, email address and phone number. We use them for one thing: sending you a TestFlight invite and the occasional note about the beta. The phone number is there so an invite that lands in a spam folder isn’t the end of it. We don’t sell or share this list, and you can have it deleted any time by emailing us.
- Account. If you sign in with Apple, we receive an Apple-issued account identifier and, only if you choose to share it, your email address. Sign-in is optional; the app works without an account.
- Your recordings. When you record a take, the audio is transcribed and scored. With an account, the audio is uploaded for scoring and deleted from our servers immediately after the score is produced. Without an account, it never leaves your phone.
- Transcripts and scores. The verbatim transcript, your scores, the coaching note, your streak, the topics you picked, your reminder time, and your subscription status.
- Product analytics. Events such as “session completed” or “paywall shown”, tied to your account so we can understand how the app is used. No advertising identifiers, no cross-app tracking.
Why
To score your speaking, show your progress over time, keep your streak, remind you at the time you chose, and run the subscription. That is the whole list. We do not sell data, share it with data brokers, or use it for advertising.
Who processes it
- Apple — sign-in and payments.
- Supabase — hosting and storage, United States.
- Our speech-to-text provider — turns your audio into a verbatim transcript, filler words included.
- Anthropic — produces the relevance and structure scores and the coaching note from the transcript.
Each processor receives only what it needs for its step and is bound by its own privacy terms.
How long we keep it
- Audio — seconds. It is deleted as soon as the score exists.
- Everything else — until you delete your account. Deleting your account, in the app under Settings → Delete account, removes every server record about you.
- On your phone — your history stays on your device and is deletable any time in Settings → Delete all sessions.
- Beta waitlist details — until the beta ends or you ask us to remove them, whichever comes first. Email us and they are gone.
Your choices
- Export your history as a file from Settings.
- Delete all local sessions, or delete your whole account, from Settings.
- Turn reminders off in iOS Settings at any time.
Children
Adlib is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Security
Data moves over encrypted connections and is stored with access limited to what the app needs. No system is perfect; if something goes wrong that affects you, we will tell you.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, the app will say so before the change takes effect. The date at the top is the version you are reading.
